Our Story

We’ve been in the Plastering business Since 2007

I’m Shane Hockey from Goulburn, NSW. I’m a 35 year old Australian and have been plastering for 20 years. I started off doing work experience when I was 15 years old for a local Goulburn Plastering business and got given the opportunity for a full time plastering apprenticeship. Once my apprenticeship was completed, a co worker and myself decided to venture out on our own and start Southern Tablelands Plastering. We succeeded together for 4 years before my business partner decided to change trades and he handed over the business directly to me to make me a sole trader. That was 12 years ago and I haven’t looked back since.  At the moment it’s myself, a full time fully qualified plasterer who has completed his four years with me to get the quality of workmanship which I am proud of, i also have my second year apprentice who is following in our footsteps.

Renovations & Extensions

we love the challenge of renovations and figuring out the best options with our builder or clients. we are happy to work in with other trades to insure the little extensions and renos get done with no Hassell and everything runs smoothly

Ornamental & Decorative Cornices

As with a lot of beautiful large scale homes these finishes are a must and we are happy to turn our hand at any plaster works.
we use and recommend baileys plaster works for quality products.

Suspended Ceilings

You can have a lot of different suspended ceilings from grid and tile which is perfect for commercial jobs as they hide all services and make for easy access. We use laser levels to achieve a professional finish.

Fire rated Accredited

We check and comply with the Australian standards for fire rating.

Blue Board Accredited

Blue board is a strong and stylish way to finish the external walls of your home, often finished with a texture paint or granosite render.

Frame wall

We are able to build your frames with timber or steel stud and track .we can design feature walls for built-in tv units and bulkhead ceilings.

Feature walls

We can create any feature walls, bulk heads, led strip lighted ceiling, shadow line, outdoor entertainment areas or modern storage ideas.

Coffered ceilings

A beautiful way to change a room to classy and or modern.

Patching & Water Damage

We are happy to take on all patching and water damaged ceilings, insurance works, or them little wall patches that just need a professional to get the job done.

Rendering

We can quote and do all types of render finishes including decorative exterior mouldings /architraves, cracks and internal patching of brick and white set walls.
